A game made in less than 48 hours for the Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam 2019. The theme was "only one", so I made a platformer that uses only one button and has only one level.

You are a green trampoline. Hold any key to jump forward. When you hit a wall, you change direction. Avoid dark blue. Simple as that.

Espera... No log de desenvolvimento, em "August 09th, 2019", o que está escrito???

What?

Try downloading the executable version.

Você fala pt? Ah ss, pq vc é do scratch, sou eu GD_creator443 aqui, enfim blz acho que vou baixar, mas n to mais com interesse, mas o jogo parece ter sido bom

Ok então.

Very good execution! I think you explored your mechanic about as well as you could. Difficulty curve slopes up pretty crazily at the end there though. I was planning to say "anyone more sane than me would have quit at the final stretch" but it turns out I had to quit as well; couldn't quite get a hang of the final two platforms. One more checkpoint after the second vertical tunnel would have encouraged me to try for the end. As it is now the precision you ask for in the final stretch isn't served well by the not super precise player hitbox and the inconsistently synchronized final moving platforms preventing the player from finding a pattern. Still, I saw what you were going for and the experience was satisfying. Great work!

Thanks! The difficulty curve is a result of me not having enough time to playtest with other people lol. I'm planning to continue with this project and will definitely keep your comment in mind. Maybe ditch the moving platforms.

great game!

but i think the graphics, like the spikes, could be better, but thats all i dont like.

Thanks! If I didn't have limited time I would've made the game look better, maybe in the future.

This game is very good! I love the graphics, so cartoon-y and fun to look at! The gameplay is fun and interesting, it makes regularly easy platforming much more challenging. The music I like as well, but more sound effects could be used. After the jam, if you weren't going to already, maybe add a background. Some parallax scrolling and objects in the foreground can make the game have a bit more of an illusion of depth. Objects for the character to interact with in the foreground would look pretty good too, like grass that waved when brushed, or got pressed down by a jump. The game is simple, and fun. I love that.

Yes, definitely! I think this idea still has more potential. Thank you!

Please, don't forget to rate the game. Only one person has rated so far. There are too many games to rate so every rating counts!

Controls are quite confusing. Often I'll just be holding down my mouse then he stops moving forward, but other times he doesn't?

Huh, that's not supposed to happen. Try using the keyboard.

You're right, that does happen. When you move the mouse, the character stops moving. I'll patch it after the jam is over. For now, use the keyboard.
